Late Thursday Night-Early Friday Morning, 12/29-12/30
Unfortunately, the madness continued unabated into Friday morning, when 19 additional blazes were reported, including a fire in a Mazda Miata parked in front of 8021 Rothdell Trail, the former home of Jim Morrison and the house from which the Doors classic "Love Street" was conceived. The flames spread from the Miata to the house, and although much of it was saved, the famous balcony from which Morrison would watch the hippies walk around Laurel Canyon was destroyed. A firefighter was also sent to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
