A Weekend Of Festivals Prove That Angelenos Love To Eat

Thanks to the Gold Standard Food + Wine Festival, there was plenty of tasty, weird, caloric goodness floating through LA this past weekend, and we're sorry we missed it because we could have definitely used a free taco from the Kogi truck.

On Saturday and Sunday at the Petersen Automotive Museum, food writer Jonathan Gold brought culinary connoisseurs together for his second annual Gold Standard festival. Forty restaurants dished out their latest creations, washed down by glasses filled by local wineries and breweries. A Kogi barbeque truck provided free tacos, and atop the roof patrons sipped and nibbled with good conscience, as a portion of the proceeds went to Heal the Bay.
