Boho-Goth Goddess Stevie Nicks Meets Fans At Amoeba

by Emily Green · August 4, 2011

It's been a full decade since the original witchy woman released a solo album with that raspy, soulful voice of hers that makes me melt. But the living legend (and best lead singer of Fleetwood Mac) that is Stevie Nicks is back after her extended hiatus with In Your Dreams and brought that dark gypsy rock queen-ness to Amoeba in Hollywood last night. Thankfully, Taylor Swift was nowhere in sight to kill the Stevie vibes. [Photo via]

[Stevie Nicks photo via] Fans lined up around the block outside the Sunset Blvd vinyl haven to have copies of her long-awaited album signed. In addition to being one of the the most influential females in rock musically, her iconic fashion is a direct inspiration to many of the younger generation female artists and celebrities today like Bat for Lashes, Lykke Li, Ladyhawke and Mary-Kate Olsen to name a few. Known for her hippie goth witch-like look that often consisted of layers of chiffon, fringe, capes, lacy veils, billowy sleeves, feathers, velvet platforms and top hats—all black of course—she's a real deal style icon.

One fan from last night's album signing tweeted, "getting fatally mauled in a sea of chiffon and plumed top hats". Not mad at that, the world could use a little more Stevie realness.
