L.A. Joins Hands Across The Sand On Venice Beach

by Emily Green · June 28, 2010

On Saturday, hundreds gathered at Venice Beach to get really, really sandy for a great cause.  The crowd formed an impressive human chain along the sunny coast and spelled out "GO GREEN" and "END OIL" as part of the Hands Across the Sand nation-wide demonstration that asked supporters to head to their local beaches to oppose near- and off-shore oil drilling.

Check out the person curled up in a ball for the exclamation point dot after "Oil."
