Million-Dollar Pot Farm Busted Up In Swanky Hidden Hills Neighborhood
I've only been to Hidden Hills, a multimillion-dollar home gated community between Calabasas and Woodland Hills, once, for a fundraiser/ cocktail party. The house where the party was held was on a spacious estate that included a horse barn, a giant pool, and beautiful, well-manicured grounds. I did not, however, notice any gigantic marijuana farms. Apparently, I just wasn't looking hard enough, as
an anonymous tip led officers to raid a sophisticated grow operation in a rented home on swanky Oakfield Road, less than a mile from the homes of Kris Kardashian & Bruce Jenner, J. Lo, Ozzy Osbourne and other famous names. The operation was reportedly complete with high powered grow lights and harvesting equipment and a proprietary power bypass to steal the power required from SoCal Edison without tipping anyone off. Officers found an estimated $900,000-$1,000,000 worth of weed plants inside, as well as some unregistered handguns, and two workers were arrested at the scene. So basically, if your rich aunt in Agoura Hills is complaining that she can't get her "medicine" any more, you might have a good idea why.
