Alex Da Corte's work never disappoints. The Philadelphia artist always delivers works that are captivating, thought provoking, and personal all at the same time. ROY G BIV is no exception. The Giant video installation is both a video installation and an ongoing performance. The video features Da Corte’s signature neon aesthetic. The video is a mix of scenes featuring reimagined works by Constantin Brancusi as well as Da Corte playing a Tim Burton-esque Marcel Duchamp. The performance accompanying the film is done by Da Corte’s brother Americo, painting the box that houses the video different colors, hence the work's title.
