Christophe Pouget, As Times Go By
French artist Christophe Pouget presents his first solo show in New York at Emmanuel Fremin Gallery this month. While photographers use their cameras to capture a variety of visions, Pouget attempts to embody the "soul of places" by collaging a series of photos taken at one location during different periods and mapping out a "visual diary." The results are a refreshingly coherent contemplation of time and space.
