Hassan Hajjaj, 'Kesh Angels
In his first exhibition in New York, Moroccan-born, UK-based artist, Hassan Hajjaj presents a vibrant exploration of the street culture of Morocco, as intertwined with the distinctly commercialized influence of the Western world. Portraits of the motorcyclists of Marrakesh are framed, quite literally, within the context of consumerism, while the defiantly modern local fashion and youth culture is inherently celebrated.
