Valerie Hegarty, Altered States
A nod to the current U.S. political climate, Altered States is a series of works by Valerie Hegarty that explore the state of objects, with emphasis on their deterioration and destruction. Descriptive titles like "Shipwrecked Armoire with Barnacles" and "Headless George Washington with Table" speak volumes about the exhibition, which centers on a collection of fabricated deconstructed antiques.
