Nari Ward, Liberty and Orders
Jamaica-born artist Nari Ward's newest exhibition, "Liberty and Orders," is a commentary on control and freedom. Ward recently became a U.S. citizen, and his work is influenced by the joys of attaining citizenship complicated by the anxiety of interactions with law and authority. Megaphones, razor wire, and even a police tower are all materials incorporated into the show.
Opening Reception: Friday, April 20, 6-8pm
Through April 21 at Lehmann Maupin, 201 Chrystie Street
