Stand still like the hummingbird
Author Henry Miller once penned, "Ought we not first learn to fly backward too, or stand still in the air like a hummingbird?" Curator Bellatrix Hubert has taken the philosophy of this phrase to heart, assembling a group exhibition of artists who "engage with contradictions, impossibilities, and the absurd." Expect work by Marcel Duchamp, Sherry Levine, On Kawara, and over a dozen more.
Opening Reception: Thursday, June 28, 6-8pm
Dates: June 28 – August 3
Location: David Zwirner, 525 West 19 Street
