Christian Marclay, "The Clock"

In 2010, Christian Marclay, dubbed "the most exciting collagist since Robert Rauschenberg" by
The New Yorker, debuted "The Clock," a
24-hour montage of thousands of film excerpts depicting the passage of time. It's an epic splicing of television and movies ranging from The Godfather, to Pulp Fiction, to Fatal Attraction to Gone with the Wind. "The Clock" will open this Friday at Lincoln Center, free of charge. But be prepared for long lines!*

Young Patrons will have access to a Thursday Opening Reception, featuring remarks from Mr. Marclay, and a midnight screening.
