Speaking of tears--curator Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld traces the Abstract Expressionism movement in "Hue + Cry," which opens this Thursday at Sotheby's. According to Roitfeld, this group exhibition is “a clarion call to arms for a present that is lasting and an ecstatic visual road map for a promising middle-future.” This Thursday's opening may be a clarion call for champagne, as well.
