Hunter Barnes, "A Testimony of Serpent Handling"
Documentary photographer Hunter Barnes has uncoiled the history of the old time - and nearly extinct - religion of Serpent Handling. In his exhibition this month at Milk Gallery, Barnes shares the story of a small West Virginia community of Serpent Handlers that constitutes the fewer than 15 members still practicing the religion.
