Kenny Scharf, Kolors
Just two weeks after Scharf's large scale sculpture,
Squirtz, debuted in the plaza at the Standard, his show at Paul Kasmin Gallery will display both large scale sculptures and paintings. The two mediums work off of one another to create a viewing experience that is otherworldly and rich in color, texture, and shape. Scharff's work with airbrush-like oil and acrylics reflects the street culture that has influenced much of his work, while his sculptures use his cartoon-like characters to explore duality and the interconnected nature of human emotions.
Dates: April 4th- May 4th
Where:
Paul Kasmin Gallery, 515 W 27th Street
