IDEAS CITY Festival
The New Museum will also be presenting the IDEAS CITY Festival from May 1st to 4th. Founded in 2011, the festival brings together hundreds of arts, education, and community organizations which serve to keep art and culture alive in urban areas throughout the world. The biennial festival in New York City consists of conferences, workshops, and a street festival around the Bowery, providing participants multiple forums to freely communicate and exchange their creative ideas.
The festival's theme this year is "Untapped Capital," focusing on resources that are undervalued and underused in modern cities.
