XFR STN at the New Museum
We admit, we're thankful for all of the media innovations that the digital age has brought upon us, but that doesn't mean we want to lose the late, great, and grainy masterpieces of the past.
XFR STN (Transfer Station) at the New Museum addresses this problem, as a fully-functional transfer lab where video and digital artists can rescue their work from obsolete media. The archiving project originally began as a way to preserve the Monday/Wednesday/Friday Video Club but has evolved into a greater call for more media migration services.
