Chris Burden, Extreme Measures
One of the most influential artists to emerge in the 1970s, Chris Burden has had an expansive and evolutionary career in the art world for forty years, going from a radical newcomer to a fearlessly provocative pro. Extreme Measures at the New Museum is the first major presentation of Burden's work in over 25 years, and will focus on the sculptures, installations, and performance pieces that have pushed both physical and psychological boundaries.
