Christopher Cook, A Sign of Things to Come
Working with a substance as quick-drying as liquid graphite, Christopher Cook incorporates the elements of instinct and randomness into his art, forcing himself to make pressured decisions that are subsequently preserved in his pieces. Inspired by Eastern traditions like calligraphy and landscape painting, the UK-based artist emphasizes the result of gestures and gravity in order to create continuity in a series of fluid abstracts.
