Girl Knew York's Artsy Exhibition At The Dream Downtown Is A Must-Hit This Month

The perfect excuse to snag a cocktail and peruse some Insta-worthy artwork, Girl Knew York's evocative exhibition, ARTIFACTS OF US, has taken over the Dream Downtown's Swing Room this month.

Girl Knew York, a.k.a. Mira Mariah, is an artist, illustrator, influencer, and tattooist who has earned a cult following in the fashion world and beyond. Her residency at the trendy hotel this month showcases themes of beauty, human connection, girl culture, motherhood, glamour, romance, and art history. Mira's mission is to encourage her fans and followers to "redefine beauty on their own terms," and embrace the diversity of all body types, disabilities, genders, and ethnicities.

"I'm so honored to have my work at Dream Downtown," says Mira. "These paintings mean so much to me in that they celebrate the details of women that we've turned into idols. The found art objects are the actual idols of things that seem disposable but can become precious in an instant with a bit of infused magic. The centerpiece of my collection, Hairy Mary, is an actual idol carved with a diamond into a vintage mirror."

The stunning works are on display and available for purchase through the end of March, and let's just say it's a cool girl must-see.
