Agnes B. Boutique Gallery
This privately owned, family operated French company is a little bit of everything cool. With 282 stores worldwide and two contemporary art galleries, a hybrid art periodical (Point d'Ironie) and a film production company (Love Streams), it's clear Agnes B. is a lot more than an art gallery. Despite the company's ambitious projects, the work of the artists takes center stage, as is evident at Agnes B.'s gallery on Howard Street. While currently between shows, recent exhibitions include "Public Display," a group graffiti art show, and works by Louise Bourgeois and Jonas Mekas. The gallery also sells t-shirts designed by many of these artists, another example of how Agnes B. blends art and boutique shopping.
