Among the other high-profile items was a diamond bracelet given to her by singer Michael Jackson, with an estimated sale price of $30,000 to $50,000. It more than tripled that, selling for $194,500. Somebody is going to be happy this holiday season... A little history of Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor: - Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor were very private about their relationship. - Taylor supported him during his child molestation charges, both in 1993 and 2005, saying,
"I've been there when his young nephews were there and we were all in the bed watching television there was nothing abnormal about it," Taylor said on "Larry King Live!" in 2006. "There was no touchy-feely going on."
- When Jackson turned to prescription drugs to deal with the ensuing criminal investigation and lawsuit, Taylor made him seek treatment. - Jackson's way of repaying her? By showering her with diamonds of course! Allegedly, he promised her a $600,000 piece of jewelry for allowing footage of her to be used in the 2003 TV special "Michael Jackson's Private Home Movies." - In 1997, Jackson wrote Taylor a song, "Elizabeth, I Love You", and performed it at her 65th birthday party. Now that's true love. - That's not all, Taylor served as the godmother for Jackson's eldest children, Paris Michael and Prince Michael. [Photo via, via]
