While Marc Jacobs owns the West Village, John Derian owns the East. With his three charming shops slid in snug like charms on a bracelet along East 2nd Street, his nouveau antiqued aesthetic of whimsical, illustrated iconography from times past acts as the perfect accent to any well-appointed home.
Beloved for his dreamy decoupage, Derian livens up everything from coasters and trays to pocket mirrors and paper weights with an array of vintage images - collected relics and treasures from his travels. His newly released book, simply titled John Derian Picture Book, is a gorgeously curated catalogue of some 300 odd prints he's returned to time and time again.
