Strand Book Store
Perhaps the best known of our bookshop stops, Strand touts 18 miles of new, used and rare books. Although Strand was originally named after the famous London publishing street, since its 1927 opening it has become a NY institution (have you seen all of those tote bags?!), outliving the other 47 Book Row bookstores. As for the selection? Strand has everything. No, really. You’ll have to turn on tunnel vision to even begin your search for a great read. Offering nearly every genre, staff and author favorites and a row of book accessories, this one-stop shop will keep you flipping pages through the end of summer.
Strand Book Store, 828 Broadway. (212) 473-1452
