Mercer Street Books
Mercer Street Books
In addition to a book collection that is self-characterized as “interesting, esoteric and weird,” this West Village haunt offers a vast record collection (now we’re talking next level retro). Mercer Street Books attracts NYC’s most voracious readers, who search newly delivered (but still, oftentimes, used) titles daily. Last summer, the bookstore set up shop selling late painter Jack Levine’s personal library in a mini-museum.
