Bonnie Slotnick Cookbooks
What are you cooking up this summer? After a trip to Bonnie Slotnick Cookbooks, chances are you’ll be in the mood for one of your mother’s - no, your grandmother’s, no, someone else’s kitchen-approved grandmother’s - recipes. Slotnick’s shelves include 18th-century and more recent recipes with an emphasis on New York restaurants and food, baking books and even etiquette books. For a sweet summer, serve up one of these retro recipes, found among creased spines, perhaps lined with a few crumbs. Make sure to call ahead, however, because the store is only open six (alternating) days per week.
