Picnic at Maria Hernandez Park
We can't remember the last time we had a picnic, and we're positive the feeling is mutual. The root of that problem is that our city parks are not the cleanest place to extend our cashmere throw. Also we risk being crowded by everyone else who is picnicking that day. To avoid packed parks, head to Bushwick's Maria Hernandez park, which is a small area near the DeKalb stop. Set up under the shade of a tree and bring a deck of cards or a board game.
