With shopping, dining, and countless special events always in the works, Industry City in Brooklyn's Sunset Park neighborhood boasts plenty of reasons to visit. But this is the most Instagrammable.
In one of the complex's multiple courtyards, there sits a giant yurt serving as a community space and wellness hub. Now, just in time for some faux summer travel pics, The Yurt has been transformed into the exotic Moroccan den of your dreams.
Designed by the ever-chic Nina Freudenberger, with authentic decor like poufs and (magic?) carpets courtesy of Imports From Marrakesh, the sultry space is an instant escape, filled with plush patterns and epic botanical accents (like that gorgeous leafy canopy) by Rye Workshop. Stop by for guided meditations every Wednesday, or just pop in for a Moroccan photo shoot. No one needs to know you never left the city.
View this post on InstagramWhen I graduated from RISD I definitely did not imagine I would be asked to design a yurt😉but i can now add that to my list. Just finished my install @industrycity for @wanteddesign festival. Please join me with @rebecca_atwood and @david_stark_design (all RISD grads) talking about the business of design and the many paths we took. It’s FREE, tomorrow at @industrycity, Brooklyn, 9:30 am. Tickets in profile!
