A Permanent Cat Cafe Is Opening In Brooklyn This Weekend!

America's first Japanese Cat Cafe may have opened in Manhattan, but now it's Brooklyn's turn to get in on the kitty action. This weekend the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition (who previously opened a five-week cat cafe pop-up in Fort Greene last year), is launching a purrr-manent location in Brooklyn Heights. Calling all cat ladies!

Starting this Saturday, May 7, you'll be able to reserve a half-hour hang with the cats for $5, as well as enjoy treats from local businesses like Salty Road Taffys, Jomart chocolates, Divvies Vegan cookies, and Atlantic Bagel Café. The best part? Unlike your favorite bodega cat, you can actually take these guys home if you fall in love.
