If the luxe, $110-a-person finger sandwich serving at The Plaza's Palm Court seems like too stuffy an experience (or something you reserve for mornings with your grandma), you anti-Upper East Siders are in luck.
Across the bridge, in the land known as Brooklyn, cool kids can now indulge in some hipster high tea at - where else? - The Williamsburg Hotel. Harvey, the haunt's seasonally-driven restaurant, is now offering a fancy brunch option for the not-so-pinkies-up crowd. For just $30 a person, you and your beanie-wearing friends can create your own three-tiered meal stacked with sweet and savory snacks like mini almond pies, ricotta pizzettes, and (duh) avocado toast. Throw in an extra $15 if you're feeling really wild and you can even pair your tea treats with champagne.
It's definitely more Meghan Markle than Kate Middleton, but that's kind of why we love it.
