Taylor Swift is Bisexual
I kind of hate this one, not because I don’t want her to be gay (I’d love it), but because I recognize that it’s completely uncool to speculate on someone’s sexuality. I do feel compelled to cover it though since there is a huge Gaylor fanbase that feels passionately about it. Not to mention, we’re talking about conspiracy theories here - not my own personal opinions.
But I digress. So you’re probably wondering where this comes from. Well obviously, Kaylor theorists and Gaylor stans are one-in-the-same. But there is a bit more to this particular theory. For one, they thought back in April she was going to come out, as part of a big announcement she was making. Her Lover era was heavily promoted using rainbows. Instead, it had something to do with football?
During Pride Month (June) of last year, the "You Need to Calm Down" music video was released with a cast made up entirely of the LGBTQIA+ community. In the music video, Taylor’s hair was painted the colors of the bisexual flag (magenta, lavender and royal blue). Though I was not a Gaylor believer before the music video, after the video I was definitely uncertain. TS is the QUEEN of “easter eggs,” hidden messages and virtual scavenger hunts, and this felt like the golden egg hiding in plain sight.
In August, Gaylor theorists stood corrected. In Taylor’s August 8th Vogue interview, when asked about her increased support for the LGBT community, she said “I didn’t realize until recently that I could advocate for a community that I’m not a part of.” Case closed.
Or is it?
