A Year In Parties: The Illegal, The Virtual & The Pre-Pandemic

Besides it of course being a fancy fete full of heavenly music and just the chicest gala-wear over at Lincoln Center, the New York Philharmonic Lunar New Year Gala is worth noting as the first event during which we actually saw people wearing masks. Perhaps it should have been more jarring than simply curious, as we found it then. But hey, those audience members were clearly light years (or weeks) ahead on the fashion front.
