A Year In Parties: The Illegal, The Virtual & The Pre-Pandemic

And then there was Fashion Week. Things kicked off with the usual so-packed-you-have-to-wait-in-a-queue-to-walk-downstairs, if-you-weren't-there-who-even-are-you type bash, which was this year held by L'Avenue at Saks to celebrate its one year anniversary as being a go-to hot spot for the chic set. Champagne towers and a dessert spread worthy of Marie Antoinette greeted us, along with a flash-filled step-and-repeat featuring the likes of Billy Porter, Gwendoline Christie and Natasha Lyonne. We danced until the wee hours, cozied up in the downstairs chalet, and shockingly enough, breathed neck to neck among fellow glittering partiers.
