Record-breaking heat could not stop Michael Arenella and his fellow purveyors of the past from donning their best vintage ensembles and stepping out for the 11th annual Jazz Age Lawn Party. Hundreds headed to Governors island this weekend for a garden fête fit for the Fitzgeralds, taking in performances by the legendary Dreamland Follies as well as refreshing cocktails by St-Germain. Arenella, the creator and star crooner, lent us some of his thoughts on the partygoers' participation, noting that "the people that come to this event put a spin on the '20s with what they're wearing, and as such, make it living and vital only by virtue of the people that come and interpret [the era] through their lens, and that's really the most exciting part of this event." Since we can't help but agree, click through for some of our favorite looks!
