Wednesday, September 30th, design enthusiasts and fashionistas gathered at the invitation-only grand opening of the Calvin Klein Lifestyle Shop at ABC Carpet & Home in the Flatiron District, featuring the Calvin Klein Home Collection. Greeted by passed hors d'ouevres and cocktails, guests mingled with hostess of the evening and Elle Decor Editor-in-Chief Margaret Russell, Calvin Klein menswear designer Italo Zucchelli, creative director of CK Home Amy Mellen, Richard Lambertson of design label Lambertson-Truex, news anchor Erika Tarantal, Forbes writer Steve Bertoni, and Tom Murry, president of Calvin Klein. If the guest list was any indication, the event was a success - and a landmark - for Calvin Klein Home Collection, which continues to mirror the minimalist look as seen on the label's runway shows. The chic, urban neutrals of the collection served as a fabulous complement to the modern lines seen on the furniture and material, maintaining the signature design aesthetic. It was easy to see that the ultra-glam crowd that walked through the space looked right at home among this designer décor.
