“Living Proof” premieres Saturday, October 18, 2008 on Lifetime as part of the network’s Stop Breast Cancer for Life campaign. Renee Zellweger, Craig Zadan, and Neil Meron were the Executive Producers along with Vivienne Radkoff, who was also the screenwriter. They joined the cast which included Harry Connick, Jr., Amanda Bynes, and Angie Harmon this Wednesday for the premiere screening at the Paris theater and a dinner at the Plaza's grand ballroom with a very special performance by Harry Connick Jr, and Bernadette Peters.
Living Proof is the true story of Dr. Dennis Slamon, the UCLA doctor who helped develop the breast cancer drug Herceptin and his effort to keep the drug trials afloat. Thousands of lives have been saved because of his dedication.
