Who says you have to leave the Lower East Side to enjoy a leisurely Sunday at the beach? New Yorkers who didn't make it out to the Hamptons this weekend had the opportunity to hang out at a backyard beach party at The Suffolk in support of Goods For Good, a charity which sends excess goods from the US to children in developing countries. More story and photos below... For each guest who kicked off their shoes in the 5,000 lbs of sand yesterday, 10 pairs of new shoes were sent to children in Malawi. Not bad for an afternoons work relaxtion, right? Attendees enjoyed Pabst, BBQ'd fare, and the (lately elusive) July sun. For more information on Goods for Good, check out www.goods4good.org.
