Well, here we have it, folks: Finance Guys never, ever grow up.
The newly named CEO of Goldman Sachs is living out the dream of every Wall Street dude you dated in your 20s. He parties with world-famous DJs, hangs out at Schimanski, flies to Miami whenever he wants, and (duh) makes a ton of money. But that doesn't stop him from indulging in a passion project. In his free time, 56-year-old David Solomon takes on the role of DJ D-Sol. Seriously.
Solomon, who is set to take over operations in the fall, even has a special Instagram account dedicated to his after-hours art, showcasing gigs with the likes of Paul Oakenfold and Liquid Todd. He's apparently taken over the decks at hot spots including Up&Down, Beautique, and The Whales in NYC, as well as the W in Miami. Ever the philanthropist, his last publicized spin sesh appears to have been a fundraiser for opioid addiction awareness. Here's hoping he still has time for his side-gig once he settles into his promotion.
