If you freaked over LA treat house, MILK, serving up their giant macaron creations for a limited time in New York last weekend, we have some good news for you. No, they're not a permanent fixture on the East Coast (yet), but something even better may have just come along.
The Tapas Bar at Mario Batali's latest hot spot, La Sirena, is curbing your cravings with a summer snack worthy of a 'gram or two: Churro Ice Cream Sandwiches. Executive pastry chef Thea Habjanic has re-imagined the classic cool-off dessert in flavors such as coffee with dulce de leche, and mango-vanilla swirl, all sandwiched between two freshly baked, cinnamon-dusted churros.
And you thought those subway vendors were selling the good stuff.
