Most of us are probably familiar with ooey-gooey chunky cookies from beloved bakery Levain. But if you've been drooling from the sidelines due to any dietary restrictions, well, today is your lucky day.
The New York-based shop, which delivers nationwide, has finally unveiled a vegan version of its cult-favorite Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie. And not only is it completely plant-based, it's also gluten-free!
"As one of our core values is 'welcome all,' we want to invite everyone into our bakeries for a treat,” says founders Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald. "With this new cookie, we’re making good on that vision for those who follow a vegan and gluten-free lifestyle. Next time you visit our bakery, we’re proud to offer you this delicious option."
The decadent, 6-ounce treats feature chunks of crunchy walnuts and semi-sweet vegan chocolate chips, and they're baked using a rich and creamy cashew butter. Honestly, not even an omnivore would turn one down.
Giant cookies for everyone!
