DKA
What: The DKA, an acronym for “Dominique’s Kouign Amann,” is similar to a caramelized croissant. The DKA was Dominique Ansel Bakery’s original claim to fame, named Time Out: New York’s “best pastry we’ve ever eaten.”
Consensus: The pasty is TRULY delicious. So delicious, in fact, that getting stuck outside in one of New York’s delightful flash floods didn’t stop us from finishing it. The DKA is the perfect semi-sweet snack for morning, day, or night.
Tip: The DKA is actually VERY similar to the cronut. Skip the line and get an equally delicious DKA instead!
