Would You Eat Ice Cream Ramen?

by Marisa Petrarca · October 5, 2016

Our two guilty pleasures just morphed into one - and it's legendary. The oh-so-trendy Dessert Kitchen in Greenwich Village has recently taken over social media with their Ice Cream Ramen. What seems like a major health concern is surprisingly delicious and healthy. Intrigued yet? You should be.

Don't be fooled - Ice Cream Ramen contains neither real ice cream nor our beloved savory noodles. Instead, the noodles are made from Kanten, a sweet Japanese noodle made from algae and the "ice cream" is crushed ice with condensed milk. The dish comes in several different flavors: green tea, peach, kyoho, honey and brown sugar. You can also top off your dish with additional treats such as fruits and mochi.

There's no doubt that this dish is unique and certainly creative compared to recent dessert trends. If you still somehow need convincing, this dish has the approval of Kim K's bestie Jonathan Cheban, or as he calls himself, the "Food God." So you know it has to be good (even if it does look a little weird).
