Union Square Greenmarket
Like most Manhattanites, you know that Union Square Greenmarket reigns supreme over dozens of other farmers markets within the borough. Since 1976, over 140 local farmers have sold products ranging from organic yogurts and seafood to wine and cheese. Local bakers also sell an assortment of artisan breads and pastries. All you need is a canvas tote and cash, but get there early because the space gets packed and some items (especially seafood) sell out fast.
Open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 8 am – 6 pm
