Buddakan

Probably one of the most underrated restaurants in the city, Buddakan often gets written off as a noisy and loud Meatpacking District restaurant. Though the lounge may be dark and boisterous, there are quieter rooms such as the library or even the elaborate main dining room. Buddakan serves up some of the best dim sum in the city (get at least two orders of the Edamame Dumplings) and also some of the best modern Chinese inspired fare we have ever sampled (Peking Duck for two anyone?). What puts Buddakan a step above the rest is their grand communal table which seats up to 34 people (availability is often first come first serve) and the excellent service that rivals that of some three started Michelin New York restaurants.
