Shalom Japan
If you couldn't guess, Shalom Japan is a Brooklyn based restaurant that specializes in combining Jewish and Japanese cuisine. Things such as a toro toast make up their fusion inspired menu. Scallion cream cheese, toro and an everything spice, is Shalom Japan's interpretation of an everything bagel with lox. Practically their entire menu is made up of fusion dishes, but the ones that truly stood out to us were the matzoh ball ramen and foie gras dumplings. A true pairing of Jewish and Japanese cuisine, Shalom Japan combines classic Jewish motzoh balls with traditional Japanese ramen to make their brunch special. Along side the soup comes the foie gras dumplings, a savory, delectable and unique combination of ingredients mixing high class with comfort.
