Christie Grimm, Marketing Director, Special Projects Editor
Personally, I'm a big proponent of keeping the Christie in Christiemas. And what's a holy day without gifts on gifts on gifts? On my list for the big guy (AKA my father Robert)?
-Pottery Classes - who doesn't want to learn how to use the pottery wheel??
-Klein bag for pottery tools - all of my handbags are fur. So, need something a bit more practical.
-In the world of loungewear - more is never enough.
-Duck caller - never not something you want to keep on hand.
To give? For the most part, I like to keep my shopping to a one-stop kind of experience, with a few outside pieces thrown in for fun. This year? John Derian.
- You can never go wrong with Christmas ornaments from John Derian. Unless someone is Jewish. But hey - you win some you lose some.
- An ornately carved antique wooden frame circa 1900 from the aforementioned decoupage dream store is the perfect house for a picture of Robert and moi (AKA the light of his life).
- I have been sending absolutely everyone that I know to go see Colin Quinn The New York Story. So so brilliant.
