How do you celebrate the holidays?
I like to host family and try my best to make it as special as possible for them. I’m big on Christmas tree decor and love collecting ornaments over the years. So much so that more recently, I’ve resorted to getting two trees. One more “casual” tree with large, old school colored lights and kid friendly ornaments and then a more formal tree with fragile and sentimental ornaments and white lights. We typically cook meals, go to the children’s service at church, and wake up early to open presents on Christmas morning. This year will feel different with less family and no church service, but we’ll try to make it as festive as possible.

Where will you be this season?
Watermill, NY.

Are you a last minute or way in advance shopper?
Definitely last minute. Every year I aim to get it all done early, but ultimately, I think I’m a writer/editor at heart, and I thrive on the thrill of trying to meet a deadline under the gun. It always feels like such a thrill when you make the impossible possible with almost no time left.

What's the best gift you've ever given?
I gave my brother and sister-in-law a personalized Nine Fair backgammon board the Christmas after they got married. It’s so prominently displayed in their family room.

What's on your list to get?
The Weekend Chic Set for lounging at home, Bamboo flatware because we’re eating at home so much, and these earrings by Beck Jewels just for fun.

What's on your list to give?
These Liberty Christmas print pajamas, Busacca masks, and Riley Sheehey x Courtland & Co towels—all little luxuries I’ve appreciated wearing and using this past year. 

And then, for post-pandemic life, Paravel’s Aviator Carry-On Plus for when we can finally travel again. I’m counting down the days!
