How do you celebrate the holidays? 
Two of my favorite nights of the year are Christmas Eve Eve and Christmas Eve. Traditionally we kick off celebrations with a Potluck Paddle Party with our closest family friends. It’s wild, competitive and always ends with “the kids” singing "12 Days of Christmas" to our parents. 

Christmas Eve is dinner at home with extended family. We all look forward to my mom’s table setting tradition. Throughout the year she saves wine (and liquor) bottles from memorable dinners and special celebrations we’ve all enjoyed together. Mom has even surprised us with bottles tucked into her luggage from family vacations. These become our de facto candle holders. The beginning of dinner is spent guessing and reminiscing about memories associated with each bottle. As this has been a challenging year, I’m expecting to see a fair amount of mezcal bottles!

Where will you be this season?
I love NYC in December and will be headed to Boston for Christmas to celebrate safely with close family. 

Are you a last minute or way in advance shopper?
A little bit of both. Throughout the year, when I see something that reminds me of someone I will purchase, particularly when traveling. The rest is all very last minute!

What's the best gift you've ever given?
Best gift would have to be a wrap skirt - I recently had one of our workshops in India make for my mom. 

The fabric is made of hand block print strike offs which include the master printer’s thumbprints of every color sampled, alongside corresponding numbers for reference written in ink. We spend a lot of time developing these prints together in Jaipur and at the end of each day my mom always says, “How cool would these strike offs be as skirts?!”

What's on your list to get?
I swoon over anything from Lalaounis, my favorite Greek jeweler. 

Not to mention they are the most lovely family!

What's on your list to give?

I am obsessed with our Custom Evil Eye Denim Jackets. 

We have an amazing workshop in Mumbai that intricately hand embroiders the Evil Eyes with thousands of french knots and beading. 

Filakia, which means “kisses” in Greek, adorns the pocket. 

And to top it off each person’s name is customized on the sleeve. 

My mom always taught me that the best gifts to give are the ones you would love for yourself.
