What's on Heather Andersen's Holiday Wish List?

by Guest of A Guest · December 17, 2021

If you're not familiar with this fitness face, let's get one thing out of the way - Heather Andersen is like, impossibly, infuriatingly cool.

The platinum blonde boss babe is the Founder of cult favorite studio New York Pilates, and her rock n' roll aesthetic vibes are just the bad ass inspiration we all need.

Curious what's on the chill chick's holiday wish list?

    Us too!

Where will you be this holiday season?
We always have spent the holidays in NYC or Montauk and then go off on an adventure somewhere warm – like Valladolid, Puerto Escondido, Nosara, Tulum, or San Juan.

The last two holidays we kept our beach adventures chilled and spent the entire winter local in Montauk. It’s been so romantic to go for beach walks, seal spotting and the extra bonus is I have New York Pilates Montauk so I get to take a class!

How do you celebrate the holidays?
New York Pilates is open 365, so I start most holidays with a reformer pilates class. We love a party so we have friends and fam over for wine and cocktails and rage - Brion’s Dad and stepmom are party animals so def check out my IG for some visuals.

    Are you a last-minute or way-in-advance shopper?
I’m a total last minute shopper!!! Luckily my husband Brion and I typically gift shared experiences like a trip rather than tangible gifts which relieves some of the holiday shopping stress!

What's the best gift you've ever received?
Bri crushes gift giving – top have got to be my R13 boots, Great Frog ring, or Ann Demeulemeester jacket. I love to gift practical gifts but to make them fashionable! Past faves have been Prada creepers, or a Tumi suitcase to name a few.

    What's your go-to hostess gift?
A couple bottles of natural wine from Wine Therapy in Nolita – in a New York Pilates tote, of course – and a few gifted classes, which always goes over well.

    Favorite spots to shop?
I love Coming Soon in the Lower East Side and Clic in Nolita and East Hampton. Both are perfect for unique and chic home goods.

What's on your list to get?
I’ve been eyeing a skull bracelet from The Great Frog. They’re a London-based motorcycle & rock n’ roll culture jewelry shop with two spots in downtown NYC. They’ve been around since the 70’s and ooze sleazy cool in a way I just love!

What's on your list to give?
Pilates and wine are my go to gifts. Each year I also try to hook up our fabulous team at NYP with special thank yous from our friends’ local businesses like Sel Rrose, Chillhouse, The Goods Mart, etc.

One of my favorite gifts I gave my nieces is a piece of jewelry from Maria Tash - she makes 18 carat gold earrings that are threaded with a flat back so they never fall out. It’s a perfect gift for someone who is younger and might lose a piece of fine jewelry.
