On Sunday, artist Julia Sherman kicked off the MoMA PS1 summer garden, where she is growing produce to be used by guest chefs to prepare unique salads over the next two months. The series, which she worked on with urban farmer Camilla Hammer, will also feature interviews with artists and creative minds who serve as the guest chefs. They will also be posted on Sherman's website, Salad For President, which is loaded with incredible salad recipes, stunning images, along with interviews and features with some of the most exciting creative minds in NYC. On top of the robust content, she has also gained acclaim for her fine art photography and videography, which has been exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art and Recess Activities, among others. We caught up with Sherman at her salad party to talk about her favorite salads in NYC, her artistic influences, and her highlights (so far) with Salad For President!
